This is an auto-posted collection of my public links on Pinboard.in for April 30th from 05:03 to 01:04:
- Charmr – Adaptive Path – I remember seeing this when it first came out in 2007. It still doesn't exist. Nothing on the market comes close. Now ask yourself: why is there no competitive pressure in the medical device market that forced, or brought, this product to life?
- Announcing the open source Metro style theme for jQuery Mobile – Interoperability @ Microsoft – Site Home – MSDN Blogs – Nice work from Microsoft.
- Gamasutra – News – Ask Gamasutra: Should I do a Kickstarter campaign? – Next thing for Kickstarter to show in the games space: an unknown name gets funded to produce a new IP that no one's heard of before.
- James May ‘hologram’ raves about old tech at Science Museum • The Register – Reading: "nicely executed but like almost all AR apps, it's still more gimmick than than a genuine enhancement."
- Apple Is Doomed: The Phony Sony Parallel | Monday Note – I'm with Gruber ("It amuses me to no end that Jean-Louis Gassée — the man who might’ve kept Steve Jobs from returning to Apple — is today one of the most consistently insightful Apple observers in the world."), but also wondering how long it will take for jlg to get back to the mothership.
