The War Room looks great… but would it actually work for anything other than status updates? I can see “full” meetings with so many different departments achieving nothing other than noise. Can see it being great for something like weekly status updates though, where afterwards you have a period of time dedicated to smaller meetings between departments/collaborators/etc who don’t see each other normally.
I’m still wary of the Watchmen film. The comic is so… deep, for want of a better word. I could see a film which lifts elements and plot working quite well – scrap all the little details, the Black Freighter counterpoint story (which still wearies me in the original comic), and some of the jumps back into history, and you actually have a nice strong core on which I can see a decent movie *adaptation* hanging.
If, however, they try and keep as much as they can in… uh-oh :)
Think it’s good for weekly status updates, but the big thing I’m excited about is having a big space where we can plaster the walls with production notes and concept art and post-it notes :)
